I have a theory: If there’s a more difficult way to get something done, I’m sure to find it. It may be a family trait.

I’ll never forget the bath I gave each of my daughters in the hospital room the day they were born. I tested the water with my forearm and then carefully held their heads as I gave them the best one-armed washing I could muster. They seemed to like the warm water.

More than any other time of the year, the holidays remind us of how important memories are. All the good times we spend with family and friends help us define who we are, and, more importantly, help define what happiness is. In my case, my family recorded holiday TV specials on a VHS tape, and I can still remember the jingles from commercials my parents accidentally left on the tape. That's the power of memory.

Yeah, okay, I’m part of The Organized Parent Blog Team, so you’re going to assume that I’m just trying to push a product or something. Fine. But I really am a parent. A dad, actually. And it’s loads of fun. I can’t imagine anything more rewarding than being a father, and I take the job pretty seriously.
